Return to Curling Guidelines - Glenmore 2020-21

End of Season 2019-2020

After very careful due consideration, the Board has decided that the best course of action is to close the club for the remainder of the season effective immediately. We take the health and safety of our members and their families very seriously and given the continued risks presented by COVID-19, we feel closing the club is the most appropriate course of action. This also follows guidelines from Curling Canada that strongly urges all curling centres in Canada, both affiliated and non-affiliated, to immediately temporarily suspend all domestic sanctioned curling activities, until further notice, in light of the public health risks associated with COVID-19.

We thank you for your patience and understanding while we work through all issues arising from this decision.

Temporary Closure

It is with deep regret that the Board of Directors has decided to temporarily close all operations at Glenmore. Effective Sunday, March 15, Glenmore will cease all activities for a one week period, following which time, we will re-evaluate the current COVID19 situation.

Goodbye John…

It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend, John Kiddie. To Glenmore, John was a lot more than simply a bartender. He was a great friend and a family member. To visitors, John was a fixture of Glenmore. Without him, our curling club won’t ever be the same.

John, you will be missed deeply. May you rest in peace.

Our deepest condolences to Suzie, John’s family as well as the Savard family and all his many friends.
