The Glenmore curling club operates a day league for those among us who are free to play during the day. Ladies and gentlemen of any age are welcomed to join this very relaxed league.
All daytime curling is co-ordinated by registering on sign-up sheets. You can sign up for as much or as little curling as you wish.
Trophy rounds are made up of teams drawn by the match committee. New rounds are drawn every 8 to 10 weeks to ensure that members get a chance to meet and play with as many different people as possible. All rounds have morning or afternoon draws so that you can select the time most convenient for you.
The Mixed Daytime Ladder has fixed teams for the curling year and tends to be slightly more competitive.
The Men's Inter-club is played every Thursday at home or one of 11 other clubs in the league. Games start at 10am and are followed by a luncheon prepared by the host club at a nominal cost.
There are other events held on a regular basis to make winter pass enjoyably. These include a Bridge Club, In-house Tournaments, Potluck Lunches and many others.
All in-house competition is low key and fun. Camaraderie and exercise is our aim. The Ladder and Inter-Club are slightly more competitive but all are encouraged to participate.
The current day curlers match co-ordinator is Mr. Frank Scott. He can be reached at the club at 514-684-6350, or at home at 514-626-8369.
